For more than three decades, the Walter Anderson Museum of Art has delighted and empowered visitors through the works of Walter Inglis Anderson and kindred artists. The Museum is located in downtown Ocean Springs, just blocks away from the Mississippi Sound, where we interpret and champion coastal culture and the Southern landscape. Come see us.
"A must see at this destination, just as you would ... want to visit the Prado Museum if in Madrid, Spain, or see the World War II museum if in New Orleans..."
"Do not miss this treasure."
"One could spend hours there and still find more to discover."
The Walter Anderson Museum of Art is part of the Gulf Coast Outpost Business Program, a recognition program for nature-based tourism business owners and operators.
In collaboration with the Gulf of Mexico Alliance, the Gulf Coast Outpost business recognition program was created and part of the 2016 Nature-based Tourism Plan for Coastal Mississippi and developed for the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area (MSGCNHA). The program supports and promotes companies within the 6 coastal counties of Mississippi whose primary business is dependent on the natural environment.
