Notice Regarding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Walter Anderson Museum of Art is, above all, committed to visitor safety, well-being, and experience. WAMA is responding to ongoing recommendations regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), taking guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the State of Mississippi, and local, municipal, regional, and national leadership.
WAMA is closed for the time being. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please check back for updates.

How has the programming schedule changed?
All programs will be cancelled or postponed while the Museum is closed. Please check our events page for additional scheduling updates.
Museums are also vital cultural anchors, which we interpret as a responsibility to facilitate collaboration, educate beyond barriers, and share critical knowledge with communities near and far.
In response to school cancellations, the Museum is making educators available via video conferencing to lead in-gallery instruction with classrooms free of charge. To schedule a virtual classroom experience, contact educate@walterandersonmuseum.org
As an additional educational resource, the Museum will publish a series of videos connecting the collection to state standards in art, science, social studies, and language arts.
What can you do?
