Walter Anderson's annual children and youth art show invites young artists to submit their artistic interpretation of their local flora using Walter Anderson as their inspirational guide.

About The Event
The Walter Anderson Museum presents Walter Anderson's Local Flora Children and Youth Art Show.
Opening Reception April 26, 2020, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Children in grades 6-11 are invited to submit their artistic interpretations of their local flora, in the spirit of Walter’s many Gulf Coast inspired paintings, prints, and sculptures. Flora-themed costumes are strongly encouraged on the day of the event. For questions, contact Tony DiFatta at educate@walterandersonmuseum.org. Rules: Work depicting Local plants, flowers, trees, landscape, etc. in all media is welcome. Work must be original work by the students (no coloring pages). 2D work must be no larger than 11” x 14”. Limit one entry per student. Submissions Accepted: 10am March 23 to 5pm March 27, 2020 Pick-up Day: Saturday, May 11 from 10-4PM For any special arrangements please contact Tony DiFatta at educate@walterandersonmuseum.org.

Holiday closings: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Child or Student (Age 18+ with college issued ID): $5
Free for members; free ages 5 and under; free to shop
*We are a Blue Star Museum. Free Admission for active and retired military families (up to 5 family members) valid annually from Armed Forces day to Labor Day.
