About The Event

Over his lifetime, Walter Anderson’s devotion to his art pulled him ever closer to experiencing and understanding his integral place in the natural world: a world which he regarded as mystical and, certainly, as an expression of Divine Creation.

Join Moira Anderson, granddaughter of Walter Anderson, as she explores her grandfather's fascination and awe in response to the Unknown, his commitment to art as a way to accelerate his own spiritual development, and connect with a Higher Power.

Moira has 19 years experience teaching yoga and is the owner/director of River Rock Yoga in Ocean Springs. She feels blessed to know Walter Anderson through his art, and especially through the many stories and discussions she has shared with her Gran, Sissy Anderson. She is honored to recall those stories and explore the rich subjects of mysticism, art, and yoga for this evening talk at the Museum.
