Stories of the Bayou: Davis Bayou Paddle 🛶

Join us in connecting to and reveling in the natural landscape that helped inspire The Bayou Collection by George Rodrigue currently on view at WAMA by kayaking the Davis Bayou Area of Gulf Islands National Seashore. George Rodrigue painted the bayou as a place of folklore, mystery, and memory. Davis Bayou has its own stories, written in wind, tide, and marsh grass. We will paddle through a landscape that, like Rodrigue’s paintings, invites us to imagine what lies just beyond the bend.  For safety reasons, everyone must sign a waiver.
