About The Event
Join us for a historical art reenactment with artist and historical interpreter, Shanlie Wolter. Wolter will take participants through the art of silhouette cutting, provide a history of the silhouette as it pertains to 18th century mourning customs, and provide a demonstration of free-hand silhouette cutting. Wolter will also lead participants in creating their own silhouette through “shadow casting” and tracing. This is sure to be a treat for artists and historians alike!
