About The Event
Join Bruce Seabolt for a 6-week oil painting class that meets every Tuesday from 1:30 - 3:30PM. Each session will introduce foundational techniques of oil painting with a focus on observation of our natural world, color theory, and composition. Classes will meet in the Courtney Blossman Art Cottage located across the street from the Museum.
Bruce Seabolt is an award-winning realist painter living in Ocean Springs. While in the Air Force, Bruce studied at the Famous Artist School in Connecticut, and then he studied at the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in Colorado after retiring. His paintings are inspired by his surroundings, depicting the life and landscapes of the alluring Gulf Coast region.
Seabolts often says, “Painting life-like realistic scenes is done by going beyond what one sees on the surface.”
Cost: $150 for 6-week session
