Mardi Gras Making: FREE Costume Workshop

Did you know the Walter Anderson Museum of Art has a Mardi Gras Krewe? It’s called the Krewe du Canoe, and 2024 is its inaugural ride in the Ocean Springs Elks Day Parade on Saturday, January 27!

To get ready, we’re creating wearable boats, masks, hats, and costuming for our Krewe revelers. Drop on by and join us in the studio to make your own creation, or to contribute to one of our projects already in process. You’ll be helping to populate the streets of Ocean Springs with creatures, ships, and waves for the Krewe du Canoe’s first ride!
