About The Event
After participants gather at the Museum, the artist will begin a demo at 9AM within walking distance in downtown Ocean Springs. After a lunch break, participants will paint for the remainder of the afternoon. The workshop will be conducted in a positive, constructive, and fun atmosphere.
Diego Larguia is a New Orleans artist and educator with more than 30 years of painting experience. A faculty member at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, he regularly shows his work in galleries in New Orleans and beyond. His works have been featured in American Artist magazine and several other art publications. Diego’s work extends to landscape, still life, and figure painting. His work is currently on view at the Museum in "Written in the Sand: Plein Air Painters of Horn Island."
This workshop is open to both oil and acrylic painters. Some experience required. Bring supplies you are comfortable working with. An outdoor painting easel required. Canvas size should be 11”x14” or larger.
Cost: $150 per person; $120 for members
