Coil Pot Workshop

The Walter Anderson Museum will offer a free community workshop on Saturday, September 21st, 10 am - 12 pm. We will be creating coil pottery using air-dry clay. Please join us to explore the tools and techniques of hand-building employed by the Indigenous peoples of the Americas like the Anasazi, and Pueblo. We will cover how to knead, coil, score, and join clay using slip. No wheel, no machines, just you and the earth. Participants will leave with an original coil piece created from a quarter pound of clay. All materials provided. Bring an apron!
