Bouldin Painting Demonstration in the Galleries
Time & Location
About The Event
World-renowned portrait painter, Jason Bouldin, will provide a demonstration of his skills LIVE in the Museum galleries.
Bouldin’s work has been featured internationally in museums, galleries, and government buildings. Based in Oxford, Mississippi, Bouldin learned the art of the portrait from his father and has based his career on capturing the likeness and personality of his subjects.
This demonstration will begin at 10AM in the Guice Gallery located in the Museum where Bouldin will be painting the portrait of friend and Museum Director, Julian Rankin. There will be a one hour lunch break at 12PM. Visitors are encouraged to sit and watch this modern master work inside the exhibition, Bearing Witness, which features Bouldin’s still-lifes alongside those of Walter Anderson and various other Southern Artists.
This program is financially assisted by the National Endowment for the Humanities through the Mississippi Humanities Council.
Pre-registration is required through RSVP. Masks are required for all participants while in the Museum.
