About The Event
This monthly book club reads and discusses a changing selection of books connected to the natural world and the philosophies of Walter Anderson. It meets in the galleries beneath Walter’s suspended row boat, and is regularly attended by WAMA volunteers and members of the Anderson family. “This is a faithful group,” says Mary Anderson Pickard, the artist’s daughter. “We have faith that the boat won’t fall on our heads.” |
The WAMA Book Club began in 2011 and has studied more than thirty titles since that time, including every known publication about Walter Inglis Anderson and a variety of other titles. The title of choice for this month's discussion is "Rising Tides: The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 and How it Changed America" by John M. Barry. |
Meeting time: Second Tuesday Monthly (Attendees will be notified of any date changes) Cost: Free to the public
