About The Event
| 4-6PM weekly for six weeks beginning Thursday, Jan. 9 |
Visual art classes will include the basics of drawing, design, color, and painting. They can also be tailored to individual needs and pursuits and may comprise more specialized projects. Students can explore their own artistic nature and discover a medium and style of expression. Â For students ages 10-16.Â
Students will meet at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art | Art Cottage (located across the street from the museum)
Classes will meet on Thursdays from 4-6PM beginning January 9 for six consecutive weeks.
Supplies and an afternoon snack will be provided.Â
About Valerie Winn:Â
Valerie is an artist, and writer. She is the author of the coming-of-age novel, "Forsaking Mimosa," published in 2012. She is a former high school teacher, and journalist for local Mississippi newspapers. She has a master's degree in Art Education from the University of South Alabama. Â
