🎬 Join us on March 21, from 6-8PM for Advanced Acrylic Painting: Movie Stills, taught by instructor James Karlson.
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Consider how a film is made up of more than a thousand pictures. And further imagine how much there is to say about any given second or frame from any given movie. Participants will select their favorite frame from a movie (or follow along with the instructor) and paint that scene using acrylic paint and illustration board. The class will discuss the importance of composition, sequence, and color found in movie scenes and how to translate them through brush and pigment into a painting.
Materials: Paint, Canvas Panels, and Brushes are provided. You are welcome to bring your own materials from home as well.
