About The Event
Our campers are working extra hard this week as they prepare for their big puppet show! We’re excited to invite the community to come cheer them on and enjoy the performance this Friday, June 13, at 3 PM at the Ocean Springs Community Center. ☀️
Walter Anderson was fascinated by stories and myths of ancient cultures and brought many to life in his art, including puppets! In this camp, led by New Orleans based puppeteer Karen Konnerth, students will reimagine the ancient Greek hero tale to take place on the Gulf Coast. They will bring their adaptation of The Odyssey to life with the magic of shadow, and other puppets!
