About The Event

The Nature Trail Book Club meets monthly to honor all things literature and Walter Inglis Anderson. It is hosted the second Wednesday of every month underneath Walter's boat located in the Museum. We invite you to gather around for a free group reading and discussion related to the world of Walter.

John G. Anderson, son of Walter Inglis Anderson, stated, “By exploring books by authors who share an intense interest in humanity’s relation to nature like my father, the book club places us on a trail to a deeper appreciation of my father and ourselves. In turn, we grow closer to each other and foster our appreciation for our individual and collective enlightenment.”

Our current reading is WALTER ANDERSON: THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE AND ART OF THE ISLANDER by Robert St. John and Anthony Thaxton and forward by John G. Anderson, which is available for purchase both in person in our gift shop or our online store, which you can find here.
