Anthony Williams is a filmmaker and multimedia storyteller based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His personal work explores themes of identity, family, and belonging in dialogue with the contemporary landscape.

This short film by Anthony Williams chronicles his experience preparing for and weathering Hurricane Zeta, which made landfall in October 2020 against the backdrop of COVID-19.

I wasn’t able to find a dedicated post titled “Anthony Williams” on that page in the usual listing previews, but the Walter Anderson Museum of Art content in general always does a great job of presenting artists in a very thoughtful and context-rich way.Really enjoyed how this kind of storytelling approach helps connect the artist’s work to broader themes of nature, memory, and lived experience rather than just focusing on the artwork in isolation.
