Wide Horizons: OS Pilgrimage Walkabout Artist Talk

Join us for the Reception + Artist Talk of the Wide Horizons: Ocean Springs Pilgrimage Walkabout on July 18 from 2-5PM!

This exhibition invite artists, activists, poets, and musicians to explore what creates a sense of home, belonging, and connection to place. Inspired by Australian Aboriginal walkabout traditions, participants sought to discover the spiritual essence of Ocean Springs through mindful observation, silence, prayer, meditation, and creative practices rooted in the natural world. Throughout the journey, they deepened their relationship with the landscape by experiencing it from new perspectives and searching for the deeper meaning of their home place. The resulting artworks reflect these experiences and extend the pilgrimage to viewers, inviting them to share in a deeper connection with nature, community, and the Gulf Coast.
